Rapidly Relieve Negative Emotions and Pain

This is a very inspirational Video on EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) ... aka Tapping

The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system.  Our unresolved negative emotions are major contributors to physical pain and diseases!!!

What Is EFT Tapping Therapy?  The Emotional Freedom Techniques ...(aka Meridian Tapping Techniques)
A Breakthrough for Rapidly Relieving Negative Emotions & Pain

"Some day the medical profession will wake up and realize that unresolved emotional issues are the main cause of 85% of all illnesses. When they do, EFT will be one of their primary healing tools .... as it is for me." – E. Robins, MD Urologist

Are you...

Struggling with stress, anxiety, or pain?
Dealing with addictions, traumas, or other major challenges?
Feeling Stuck?
You know what to do but you just can't seem to do it?

The Emotional Freedom Technique is a Powerful Tool for Relieving Negative Emotions and Pain

The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT - also known as "Tapping Therapy" or "Meridian Tapping Techniques (MTT)") was created by Gary Craig and works like emotional acupressure to quickly, gently and easily release the negative emotions and beliefs that are at the root of all our problems and pain. EFT heals emotional problems by literally undoing the damage from the past.

After working through an issue using EFT, you come out feeling different and you actually are different. Your gut is no longer telling you to behave in the old unhealthy ways. New behaviors are now natural because there is no internal struggle—you have changed inside and are a different person around this issue. The struggle is over.

EFT is dramatically faster than other methods and is highly effective.  EFT has been shown to only take weeks to months to get relief and experience deep healing, instead of months to years (or never) with traditional psychotherapy.

EFT has been effective in thousands of cases for emotional and physical healing by balancing the body's energy system.

EFT Tapping Therapy Is Helpful With the Following Emotional Challenges:

Stress and Distress
Anxiety & Panic Attacks
Trauma, Abuse & PTSD
Depression
Shame, Guilt, Low Self-Esteem
Grief & Bereavement
Love Pain
Fear of Rejection

Phobias: fear of flying, mice, snakes, etc.
Addictions: alcohol, drugs, smoking, food, gambling, etc.
Weight Loss/Emotional Overeating
Eating Disorders: Anorexia & Bulimia

EFT Tapping Therapy Can Help With the Following Physical Problems:

Chronic Pain
Allergies & Sensitivities
Autoimmune Disorders
CFS, Fibromyalgia
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Cancer Support

EFT Tapping Therapy Can Be Used to Greatly Enhance:

The EFT Tapping Therapy Process

The EFT Tapping Therapy process is surprisingly simple. In its simplest form you just focus on something that is bothering you while tapping with your fingertips on 10 easily learned acupuncture points. You will discover that the painful feelings simply drain away. Negative beliefs lose their power as well.

People often ask me how long the effect lasts. Do you have to keep reapplying EFT to maintain the relief? The answer depends on whether you apply EFT to the symptoms of a problem or the root cause of the problem. If you apply EFT to the symptoms of a problem without addressing the root cause, the relief will be temporary. If you apply EFT to the root cause of the problem, the relief will be permanent.

This, like so many other modalities can be learned so you can help yourself, but some times we need someone to help us out or walk us through this.  If you need help releasing some of those sticky emotions or issues, feel free to call me for an appointment.

A natural way to deal with Autoimmune

Some maladies are thought to be "autoimmune," that is, one's immune system supposedly goes wacky and starts attacking its own body. I think this can happen, but only in rare instances, and perhaps only in transplant cases (which is where it is really attacking a foreign body.)

The way "autoimmune" disorders are typically diagnosed is … a blood panel is drawn and immune system disorder is seen based on excessive counts of one or more immune factors, which is typical of many infections. Then, smears and cultures, antigen and antibody tests, biopsies, and other diagnostics are run, but nothing is seen.

Disregarding the fact that only a tiny fraction of bacteria, parasites, toxins, fungi, or other pathogens are tested for that could be causing an inflammatory condition such as this, it is assumed that the immune system is attacking the body.

The immune system is pretty sophisticated and sensitive. A lot more sophisticated than the current diagnostic capabilities of conventional medicine. It compares DNA or protein coatings of pathogens against its own. If it does not get a match, it puts out a call to arms.
A first line response of the body to infection (especially bacterial and parasitic) is inflammation. Inflammation "calls" immune cells to the scene to combat the invader. I think it is the height of folly to believe that testing for a tiny fraction of possible pathogens and not finding anything is a better barometer of infection than a body's typical response to infection.

In recent years, conventional medicine has found or suspected that there are many disorders actually caused by pathogens, and sometimes common ones, that were not suspected before. Some cases of circulation dysfunction, heart disease, Parkinson's, lupus, MS, and other illnesses are now suspected to be caused by chlamydia, rather common bacteria that appears to get out of control in some people. Inflammatory bowel diseases like IBS are now known to some researchers to be often caused by giardia. Same with Lyme disease and spirochete bacteria. Mycoplasmas are now being investigated as being the cause of other chronic disorders, but there are no conventional medical tests which detect them.

Parasites like worms can cause a myriad of problems throughout the body, especially if they "escape" the intestinal tract. The typical test for parasites is a fecal swab. If it comes up negative, the patient is declared to be free of parasites, although this test probably is less than 1% accurate in detecting active parasitic infection in the body.

Look how long it took to acknowledge that heliobacter pylori is the usual cause of gastric ulcers, even though the fact was proven over thirty years ago. Even now in 2016, some MDs are still prescribing acid blockers.

Conventional researchers have found chlamydia trachomatis, yersinia enterocolitica, shigella, y. pseudotuberculosis, and ureaplasma urealyticum as the cause of some inflammatory disease. As far as I know, these bacteria are not typically tested for when attempting to diagnose an "autoimmune" disease. Even then, one of the most sophisticated conventional diagnostics for bacteria, the ALISA antibody test, is only about 30% accurate. It even says right on the results that it shouldn't be used as a diagnostic test.

Lupus, MS, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, and many other inflammatory disorders are now being treated by a handful of forward-thinking doctors with low dose long term antibiotics. They claim great success in most cases, although progress can be slow (probably because they are using low dose instead of high doses of antibiotics). This treatment is based on the work of Thomas McPherson Brown, MD. Don't hold one's breath for effective therapy for these disorders to be prescribed by conventional doctors anytime soon, though.

The normal prescription for inflammatory disorders are strong anti inflammatories like steroids. These can certainly decrease symptoms but since they are covering up the problem and doing nothing to treat it, make it worse in the long run.   A more ridiculous prescription for treating a pathogen-induced illness is a drug which decreases immune function. Since there are less immune cells to "call to arms" there is less inflammation. I can think of no better way to allow a pathogen to overrun and destroy tissue more quickly.

Many who are familiar with complementary health measures for "autoimmune" disorders will note that good treatments for many of them are herbs that should, according to conventional medicine, make the disorder worse. Echinacea, cat's claw (uncaria tometosa), goldenseal, pau d'arco, to name a few, are some of the better herbal immune stimulators. Yet they are often found valuable in rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, IBS, circulation dysfunction, heart disease, Parkinson's, scleroderma, and many other disorders, when taken in sufficient dosage. Since they are generally antiinflammatory and antibacterial, they are often appropriate treatments since they provide some palliation while addressing the cause.

Another consideration in inflammatory disorders is organ function. There must be sufficient cleansing capacity to be able to fight inflammatory disorders since "trash" like metabolic by products in the tissues inhibits immune function and may provide more food for bacteria, fungi, or parasites. It is therefore necessary to ensure the lymphs, kidneys, liver, and colon are working well.  Whether an herbal or conventional antibiotic regimen will be used, cleaning the organs is a valuable exercise.

Parasites can sometimes cause inflammation directly and can greatly increase histamine response to bacteria or other pathogens, and allergens or other toxins. As one conventional medicine study determined when the correlation between schistosoma mansoni (blood flukes) and lupus and rheumatoid arthritis was studied: "Antibodies against nuclear material in s. mansoni are probably a consequence of heavy disturbance of the immune system in this chronic infection with great permanent antigen load. It is a matter of discussion, whether production of these antibodies is induced by nuclear material from the host or from the parasite." This parasite is easy to detect since it produces a well known antigen in the blood. Yet, how often is the test run when trying to find the cause of rheumatoid arthritis or SLE?

The "Conventional Diagnosis of Parasites" article describes the expensive and time-consuming methods that must be used to rule out parasite involvement. I think it easier, and certainly cheaper and less time consuming, to merely treat for parasites, since most of the herbs used are also beneficial against bacteria and fungi and without side effects.  The liver, kidneys, and lymphs should be clean before attempting to deparasitize since it may strain these organs.

Toxins absorbed or ingested into the body can also wreak havoc on the immune system. Some of the toxins produced by pathogens can be tested for, but are probably not tested in over 99.9% of cases when they could be suspect. Toxic metals, solvents, and other poisons are tested for even less, although it is known that excessive amounts of toxic metals like mercury in the tissues can cause immune system dysfunction. So can aspartame, which causes symptoms indistinguishable from MS in some cases and can cause blood sugar problems when used long term (probably when there are insufficient vitamins (like B6) and minerals which help to detoxify the wood alcohol (major pancreas toxin) and phenylalinine (brain and nervous system toxin when used to excess)). It can take up to 18 months of completely avoiding toxins like aspartame and mercury before they are reduced to neglible levels in body tissues.

White cells will usually "attack" a toxin which is in the tissue, trying to remove it, assuming the immune system is not completely exhausted from fighting pathogens and toxins, which can happen in some cases. Not suspecting or attempting to diagnose a toxin, one might think the immune system was attacking the body's tissues, when it is really doing what it should - attempting to remove the offending substance. Avoiding ingestion and absorption of toxins is the best regimen.  Any Hulda Clark book, or the Toxin Avoidance section, gives details.

Any problems in the dental area must be addressed for success in fighting infections coming from the mouth. Toxic dental materials can be a direct problem, as can dental bacteria and their toxins which can infect root canals and other areas of the mouth. Bob's Dental Awareness website discusses these problems.

An excerpt from the site:  "The new and latest scientific research implicating toxic compounds emitted by mercury amalgam fillings and root canal teeth anaerobic bacteria show definite links to systemic diseases such as CFS, fibromyalgia, ALS, MS, lupus, multichemical senstivity, Parkinson's, endocarditis, and more. Research and clinical trials have indicated that the toxins excreted by anaerobic bacteria may be the cause of the onset of as much as 85% of the systemic diseases. It is a proven and accepted fact that these dental induced toxins inhibit or destroy key enzymes needed for cell reproduction and energy conversion. These toxins also destroy key cellular proteins in the cerebral spinal fluid which allows these and other toxins to destroy nerves and mutate other cellular tissues."

Other problems with chronic disease can be caused by slow elimination. Many disorders are greatly exacerbated if there is not sufficient elimination. If the colon is not kept clean, toxins are reabsorbed before they are eliminated. Slow elimination also provides an ideal breeding ground for pathogens, adding more toxins and the increased risk of them crossing the intestinal barrier.

To combat autoimmune disorders, I would use cleansing and antiseptic regimens.  Start with Organ support and then cleanses.  (we don’t want to stress the organs any more than they already are).  I believe this is a good way to get the symptoms under control and to stop poisoning our bodies further with Steroids and anti-inflammatory meds!!!  Which can have serious side affects.

Could a pill made from worms treat auto immune diseases?

There is a new weapon in the fight against autoimmune diseases such as Type 1 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease and lupus, the common trait of which is an immune system that attacks its own organs and tissues.

William Gause, an immunologist at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, is among those leading the charge against these diseases by studying how the human body reacts to parasites. The worms are small parasites that live in human intestines.

The immune reaction, the researchers say, appears to have developed as a way to rapidly repair wounds caused by these invaders as they move through the body.  Additionally, this response triggers regulatory networks that block harmful immune responses, or inflammation, that otherwise would exacerbate the tissue injury.

In the last three decades, we have witnessed a dramatic increase in autoimmune inflammatory diseases including type 1 diabetes (T1D), multiple sclerosis (MS), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and Crohn's disease, to name but a few. Autoimmune disease is characterized by an immune-mediated attack on a target organ that it is no longer recognized by the immune system. Autoimmune pathology can be caused by both antibody and cell-mediated components. The very characteristics of the immune system that had previously been so advantageous for combating infections might now be the principal contributing factor for the increasing prevalence of autoimmune disease.

There are 80 such diseases, afflicting an estimated 20 percent of the population. Among these are the ones most people have heard of — rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes, Crohn’s disease and lupus. All are characterized by an immune system gone amok.

“Instead of doing its work to prevent outside invaders, such as bacteria and viruses, from attacking our body, it turns inward and becomes the attacker,” says Shoenfeld, likening the process to “friendly fire” in the military.

“If it attacks the brain, for instance, the patient suffers from multiple sclerosis; if it attacks the intestine, it is Crohn’s disease. When it attacks many different organs and tissues, it is considered ‘systemic.’ Lupus is an example of a systemic autoimmune disease.”

Now with all that being said:  Could a pill made from WORMS treat arthritis and MS? Molecules in parasite could suppress autoimmune conditions!

As in most Homeopathic Remedies out there – “Like treats Like”!
A molecule in parasitic worms could fight autoimmune diseases.  Scientists have identified peptides from parasitic worms that suppress the body’s immune response.

Molecules could be used in a new drug to quash symptoms of autoimmune diseases, which affect hundreds of thousands of people.  The 'Worm pill' could one day be used an alternative to helminthic therapy, which involves people infect themselves with live parasitic worms!!!

Worms could be used to fight a range of debilitating autoimmune diseases, research has revealed.
A molecule in parasitic worms may be used to fight illnesses including multiple sclerosis (MS), psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.

Scientists identified peptides - naturally occurring biological molecules - from the creatures that suppress a body’s immune response, and they believe it could pave the way for a new drug to provide relief from the often painful symptoms of such diseases.

This can help reverse memory loss...

We, as Humans, evolved with a staple source of the essential omega-3 fat docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) in their diets, which was namely seafood.
Animal based omega-3 fats are considered essential because they cannot be synthesized in appropriate quantities by your body and must be supplied through your diet.
The introduction of high-quality, easily digested nutrients from seafood into the human diet coincided with the rapid expansion of grey matter in the cerebral cortex.
There's no doubt you need omega-3 fat for proper brain function. In fact, mounting evidence suggests that deficiency in this essential fat may lead to brain degeneration.

Plant-Based versus Animal-Based Omega-3 Fats

Before we go any further, it's important to recognize that animal-based omega-3 fat is not interchangeable with plant-based sources of omega-3. And while you do need both in your diet, animal-based omega-3 fats are particularly important for your brain health.
Dietary fish and marine oil supplements such as krill oil are a direct source of EPA and DHA. Plants, on the other hand, contain the parent omega-3, alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which can be converted into eicosapentanoic acid (EPA) and docosahexanoic acid (DHA). However, this conversion sorry to say is ineffective in general, and appears to get progressively more ineffective with age:
DHA: One of the Most Important Nutrients for Brain Function
60% of your brain is fat. DHA alone makes up about 15 percent to 20 percent of your brain's cerebral cortex, as well as 30 to 60% of your retina, making it an essential nutrient for both brain and eye health.
It's found in high levels in your neurons; the cells of your central nervous system, where it provides structural support. When your omega-3 intake is inadequate, your nerve cells become stiff as the missing omega-3 fats are substituted with cholesterol and omega-6 instead. Once your nerve cells become rigid, proper neurotransmission from cell to cell and within cells become compromised.
Low DHA levels have been linked to:
  • Memory loss
  • Alzheimer's disease
  • Depression
  • Schizophrenia
  • Bipolar (manic-depressive) disorder

EPA: Of Particular Importance for Depression...

The EPA found in animal-based omega-3 also plays a very significant role in the signaling within nerve cells, and it has been suggested that normalizing communications within nerve cells may be an important factor for alleviating depressive symptoms. Additionally, EPA can lower the levels of three important immune chemicals; all of which are elevated in depression.

DHA Found to Significantly Improve Cognition in the Elderly

In more recent years, researchers discovered that DHA is a precursor for a newly identified signaling molecule called protectin. (When found in your central nervous system it's referred to as neuroprotectin, or NPD1.) This molecule is synthesized in response to oxidative stress.
The discovery of NPD1 offers new therapeutic opportunities for a range of neurodegenerative conditions, such as Alzheimer's disease. It also provides an exciting potential for DHA in helping to delay or minimize the "normal" cognitive decline during ageing."
This is great news, as it's becoming quite clear that degenerative conditions can be not only prevented but also reversed. For example, in one study, 485 elderly volunteers suffering from memory deficits saw significant improvement after taking 900 mg of DHA per day for 24 weeks.   Another study found significant improvement in verbal fluency scores after taking 800 mg of DHA per day for 4 months. Also, memory and rate of learnng were significantly improved when DHA was combined with 12mg of Lutein per day.

How Much DHA Do YOU Need?
For clarity, let me point out that, as with most studies, very high dosages were used in the trials above, and the participants were elderly patients with memory loss and other degenerative conditions. This likely does not describe you, and hopefully, by taking proper precautions now, you won’t develop that kind of degeneration to begin with.
I prefer krill oil as it is absorbed up to 10-15 times as well as fish oil, due to its molecular composition.  (Fish oil is in a triglyceride molecule that has to be broken down in your gut to its base fatty acids of DHA and EPA. About 80-85 percent is never absorbed and is eliminated in your intestine)!!!   (this is why fish oil can cause you to experience burp back and why about half of all people cannot tolerate fish oil).
As a result, most people only need two to three 500 mg capsules of krill oil per day (each capsule typically contain about 50 mg of DHA and 90 mg of EPA).
It is typically a wise practice to obtain most of your nutrients from the food you eat. However, animal-based omega-3's are one exception where I believe taking a supplement is very important.  Especially when it comes to fish and other seafood, which is just not a safe option anymore!

Belladonna

There is huge controversy over Belladonna.  Each time it’s mentioned, a person will look at you like you’ve sprouted horns!

It's been known throughout the years as "The Devil's Berry" and is a major herb used in Witchcraft.  But all that aside ... it has it's good points.

My sister first introduced me to Belladonna years ago and I’ve been using it off and on for years.  I am a true believer of the benefits of it.

Belladonna is a plant. The leaf and root are used to make medicine.  It is extremely poisonous!!!

The name “belladonna” means “beautiful lady,” and was chosen because of a risky practice in Italy. The belladonna berry juice was used historically in Italy to enlarge the pupils of women, giving them a striking appearance, and was made popular for enhancing the natural looking Rosey cheeks and the enlarged pupils, making the eyes look Black. This is not a great idea to use it for such vanity sake as belladonna can be poisonous.

Though widely regarded as unsafe, belladonna is used as a sedative, to stop bronchial spasms in asthma and whooping cough, and as a cold and hay fever remedy. It is also used for Parkinson's disease, colic, motion sickness, and as a painkiller.  It works great for headaches and migraines, and is also a wonderful anti-inflammatory.

Belladonna is used in ointments that are applied to the skin for joint pain (rheumatism), leg pain caused by a disc in the backbone pushing on the sciatic nerve (sciatica), and nerve pain (neuralgia). Belladonna is also used in plasters (medicine-filled gauze applied to the skin) for treating psychiatric disorders, a behavior disorder called hyperkinesis, excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), and bronchial asthma.

Rectally, belladonna is used in hemorrhoid suppositories.

How does it work?
Belladonna has chemicals that can block functions of the body's nervous system. Some of the bodily functions regulated by the nervous system include salivation, sweating, pupil size, urination, digestive functions, and others.

See…. It’s uses can be wonderful and taken in a homeopathic form is truly a blessing for some.  A great number of our homeopathics are from poisonous substances, not only from poisonous plants, but also Snake Venon!!!

Worsened Conditions during the Healing Process

  • Seems totally backwards doesn't it?
  • Why do I feel worse when I'm supposed to be getting better?  Aren't I suppose to be feeling better?
Whatever is happening, don't give in to it.  Take it as a good sign that the body is starting to adjust to the sessions that you are having.

Years ago I used to go to the Radiation Mines in Montana.  The third time I went, I lasted only about 3 days and became sicker than a dog.  Ugh, I just wanted to go home, I was feeling so bad.  A lady that was also staying at our hotel told me that was a good thing and a good sign that my body was getting better.  "Don't give up now, it's starting to work for you!"  I'll always remember those words. She was right of course and I'm glad I stayed and listened to her!

No matter what it is that you are doing that's new, you have to give it a good try. Not quit too soon.  That includes any supplements you may be trying or sessions that you are trying.

It’s natural that sometimes we feel that our Conditions have worsened!  - Some temporary symptoms may occur, which can be attributed to the detoxification and healing process.

    Stages of Improvement

How Do I know If It’s Working?

As a healing process takes place many physical symptoms change.
You start feeling tired and exhausted, you may feel very sleepy and will want to go to bed around 5-7 pm, due to rapid detoxification the body starts to adjust itself.

You may experience a sudden beginning of the stiffness in the neck, shoulders and lower back as the toxins accumulated in muscular and skeletal systems are being excreted.

    Vivid dreams are common.

You may experience a substantial worsening in the beginning of the treatment, old symptoms which became long forgotten reappear quite frequently as the toxins are discharged and old symptoms often reappear.

Sweats, urinary and fecal discharges become more frequent having foul, unpleasant smells due to rapid detoxifications through intestines, urine, sweat glands, etc.

Sudden skin eruptions on face and other parts of the body as skin is one of the detoxification pathways from inside to outside, acne, eczema, dermatitis, etc.

You may experience cold or flu which may last an unusually long period of time with thick mucous discharges from the nose and throat as the toxins being moved out through mucous membranes.

The detoxification of the nervous system is seen as increased irritability, nervousness, depression, and agitation, etc.

These are the symptoms which we are happy to see. The reason for the discharges, coughs, sweats, foul smelling stools, skin eruptions is the detoxification process. Toxins will be excreted from the inner parts of the body where they were accumulating for many years by channels of those discharges. Some patience and sacrifice is required from the patients as they may have to go through an uncomfortable feeling for a long time.

Your body will experience changes as the healing process occurs.  During the healing process you will experience feeling worse before your body feels betterDon’t let this worry you.  This is part of the natural process as toxins and waste materials are eliminated from your system.

The following is an example of systems experienced as your body goes though “Stages of Improvement”

    >High or low blood pressure:  Dull headache pains, stressful feeling in the neck and shoulders, yawning, fatigue and sleepiness.
     >Diabetes:  Urine darkens, Sweat occurs while sleeping, change in appetite, fatigue and sleepiness.
     >Stomach ulcer or ulcer of the intestines:  Experiencing pain in the stomach, heavy feeling and pain in the waist.
     >Athlete’s foot:  Increased itching and perspiration of the feet.
     >Hemorrhoids:  Irritation of the rectal area.
     >Constipation or Diarrhea:  Upset stomach, frequent release of gas.  Feeling of fatigue and sleepiness.
     >Inflammation of Nose:  Drainage of the nose increases.
     >Pyorrhea:  Have almost no feeling in teeth, gums become very sensitive.
     >Eczema:  Experiencing symptoms similar to hepatitis or kidney inflammation.
     >Neuralgia:  Temporary increase in pain.  Pain felt in various parts of body.
     >Weight Reduction:  Increased sweating, the amount of urine increases and darkens in color.  Experiencing fatigue and sleepiness.
     >Metabolism:  Entire body or parts of it itches.  The weakest part of the body swells up and discoloration occurs, experiences nervousness or insomnia.
     >Chronic Fatigue:  Experiencing symptoms similar to hepatitis or kidney inflammation.
     >Hepatitis or Gastritis:  Heavy feeling and pain in the waist, swelling in hands and feet.  The amount of urine increases and darkens.

Additional symptoms that may become intensified as your health improves.

More pain in the affected area (including neuralgia, arthritis and bruising around the area of past injury.
    Vomiting (trouble with liver function)
Facial Rash (trouble with blood pressure)
    Body becomes swollen
The function of internal digestive system is adversely affected
Tongue becomes rough (the function of internal secretion)
    Heart beat increases (heart disease)
Increase in frequency of urination (kidney, bladder troubles)
Itching (especially in bruised area, skin allergy)
Experience general fatigue (improvement in blood circulation)
Hands and Feet Heavy (trouble with circulatory system)
    Nosebleeds (Hypertension)
    Suffering from diarrhea (stomach trouble)
    Sleepiness (blood acidity)
Dizzy spells (trouble in circulation system)
Feeling Languid and Heavy (blood pressure system)
Possible cold sores on the lip, boils, headaches and insomnia
Someone with Asthma may develop an external skin rash as part of the curative process
Someone with Heart Disease may experience stomach or bowel problems
Someone with Headaches may undergo a day or two of fever and sweating.

As I stated above … These are the symptoms which we are happy to see.  Unfortunately, some patience and sacrifice is required from the patients as they may have to go through an uncomfortable feeling for awhile!  Your body will experience changes as the healing process occurs.  During the healing process you will experience feeling worse before your body feels better.  Don’t let this worry you.  This is part of the natural process as toxins and waste materials are eliminated from your system.

Healthy fats

Many of our diets lack healthy fats. Although omega-3s are most well known for their role in heart health, they're important for so much more.  Your brain, bones, mental health and even your risk of cancer are all impacted by these beneficial fats.

I firmly believe that getting the correct macronutrients, especially fat is, one of the most important choices you can make in your diet. You need to have the absolute highest quality fats to build your cell membranes and optimize your mitochondrial function.

How Much Omega-3 Is Right for You?

There is no one answer to this question, as how much omega-3s you need depends on your body size, age, health status, the type of omega-3 and more.

There is no set recommended standard dose of omega-3 fats, but some health organizations recommend a daily dose of 250 to 500 milligrams (mg) of EPA and DHA for healthy adults.  Keep in mind this applies to EPA and DHA, not to ALA (alpha-linolenic acid, a type of plant-based omega-3 found in flaxseeds, chia seeds and hemp). While your body can convert ALA into EPA and DHA, it does so at a very low ratio, and only when sufficient enzymes (that many people are deficient in) are present. This means you'd need to consume far more ALA to reach optimal omega-3 levels (and even then may not reach therapeutic levels).

If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, your body will likely require additional omega-3 fats. The American Dietetic Association and Dietitians of Canada recommend pregnant and lactating women (along with all adults) consume at least 500 mg of omega-3s, including EPA and DHA, daily.

Most people are consuming far too many omega-6 fats compared to omega-3 fats. The ideal ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fats is 1:1, but the typical Western diet may be between 1:20 and 1:50.

Certain health conditions also indicate an increased need for omega-3 fats.

Heart health: The American Heart Association recommends people with coronary heart disease consume 1,000 mg of EPA and DHA daily while those with high triglycerides may need 2,000 to 3,000 mg per day.5
Research also shows people who took 850 mg of EPA and DHA daily for 3.5 years had a 25 percent lower risk of heart attack and a 45 percent lower risk of sudden death.

Depression: Higher doses of omega-3, from 200 mg to 2,500 mg daily, may help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Memory: In one study, elderly volunteers suffering from memory deficits saw significant improvement after taking 900 mg of DHA per day for 24 weeks, compared with controls.8
Another study found significant improvement in verbal fluency scores after taking 800 mg of DHA per day for four months compared with placebo.9

Pain and stiffness: Researchers found that 300 mg of krill oil per day significantly reduced inflammation, pain, stiffness and functional impairment after just 7 days, and even more profoundly after 14 days.
You Need Less EPA and DHA When It Comes from Krill Oil

Many people equate omega-3 fats with fish oil, but you should know there are other options (including eating fish, such as sardines and anchovies). If you’re looking for a supplement form of animal-based omega-3s, however, consider krill oil over fish oil.  Lena Burri, Ph.D., writes that "krill oil more effectively raises the Omega-3 Index compared to fish oil, even though krill oil delivers lower amounts of EPA and DHA on a gram per gram basis."  In other words, you need less krill oil to gain optimal omega-3 levels than you do when taking fish oil. How can this be? The omega-3 in krill is attached to phospholipids that increase its absorption, which means you need less of it, and it won't cause belching or burping like many other fish oil products.

Additionally, it naturally contains astaxanthin, a potent antioxidant — almost 50 times more than is present in fish oil. This prevents the highly perishable omega-3 fats from oxidizing before you are able to integrate them into your cellular tissue.  "Most human intervention studies on omega-3 fatty acid-associated health benefits have been performed on fatty acids esterified as triglycerides obtained from fish or algae, while fewer studies are available on omega-3s in phospholipid form.

Unlike fish oil, omega-3 fatty acids enriched in phospholipid form are found in krill oil … Several animal and human studies on krill oil have suggested more potent benefits for human health when the omega-3 fatty acids are bound to phospholipids instead of triglycerides. In particular, two clinical studies have shown that … [krill] can increase total plasma EPA and DHA more than fish oil after both four-week and seven-week supplementation periods."  All sources of omega-3 are not created equal. If you're looking for the most efficient, most potent form of omega-3s, consider krill first.

2.5 percent krill oil  vs  2.5 percent fish oil
In less than three weeks, both oils had markedly reduced the enzyme activity that causes the liver to metabolize fat, but the krill oil had a far more pronounced effect, reducing liver triglycerides significantly more. The higher potency of krill oil allows it to decrease triglyceride levels in a shorter period of time compared to fish oil.  Overall, after six weeks of supplementation cholesterol levels in the krill oil group declined by 33 percent compared to 21 percent in the fish oil group. Further, liver triglycerides were reduced by twice as much in the krill oil group compared to the fish oil group, by 20 percent and 10 percent, respectively.

This is particularly important, as fasting triglyceride levels are a powerful indication of your body's ability to have healthy lipid profiles. To put this into further context, after being on a statin drug combined with daily exercise for several months, participants in one 1997 study saw an average reduction in their cholesterol levels of 20 percent – less than the benefit seen from krill oil.15

Omega-3 Fats for Heart Health, Mental Health and Much More

If you're not yet aware of why consuming adequate amounts of omega-3s is so important, they play a key role in overall health. Omega-3 fats improve your cell's response to insulin, neurotransmitters and other messengers. They also help the repair process when your cells are damaged.

Further, omega-3s may help your heart by lowering your triglycerides, while omega-3s have also been proven to benefit your brain, slowing memory loss and improving conditions like ADHD, inflammatory conditions like arthritis and pain, depression and much more.

A major reason krill oil has such impressive benefits is that it powerfully reduces inflammation in your body, which is at the root of many chronic diseases. For instance, a recent study published in Bipolar Disorders found people with bipolar disorder had lower levels of EPA.

The researchers speculated that low omega-3 levels may impact the condition due to their role in brain-cell communication and inflammation, which is thought to play a role in bipolar disorder.

Omega-3s are also incredibly important during pregnancy. Research has linked inadequate intake of omega-3 fats in pregnant women to premature birth, increased risk of preeclampsia, and low birth weight, in addition to hyperactivity in children.  Adding EPA and DHA to the diet of pregnant women has also been found to benefit visual and cognitive development in the baby, while also reducing the risk of allergies in infants.

The following health benefits of omega-3s have also been backed up by science:

Fight depression and anxiety
Improve eye health
Promote brain health during pregnancy and early life
Reduce risk factors for heart disease (triglycerides, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood clots, plaque and inflammation)
Reduce symptoms of metabolic syndrome
Fight inflammation
Fight autoimmune diseases
Improve mental disorders (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and more)
Fight age-related mental decline and Alzheimer's disease
Help prevent cancer
Reduce asthma in children
Reduce the risk of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)
Improve bone and joint health
Alleviate menstrual pain
Improve sleep
Boost skin health
Reduce symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children
Omega-3s May Support Weight Loss,
Boost Longevity

A recent review of animal studies using krill products highlighted their diverse uses. The studies showed "improved outcomes of krill oil supplementation for obesity, depression, myocardial infarction, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis and more."

The researchers mentioned that the choline in krill oil may also be playing a role in its beneficial effects. A recent study in mice also revealed that omega-3 fats appear useful for weight loss. Mice fed fish oil along with their diet gained significantly less weight than those not fed fish oil. The fish-oil group also had lower insulin and fasting glucose levels, and they burned more calories, possible due to an increase in beneficial brown fat.

Are You Ready to Increase Your Intake of Omega-3 Fats?
Making sure you're getting enough omega-3 in your diet, either from wild Alaskan salmon, sardines and anchovies, or a high-quality omega-3 supplement like krill oil, is absolutely crucial for your optimal health.

While a helpful form of omega-3 can be found in flaxseed, chia, hemp, and a few other foods, the most beneficial form of omega-3 — DHA and EPA, which are essential to fighting and preventing both physical and mental disease — can only be found in fish and krill.

Because, nearly all fish, from most all sources, are severely contaminated with environmental pollutants like toxic mercury, you have to be very careful about the types of seafood you consume when trying to increase your omega-3 fats. A general guideline is that the closer to the bottom of the food chain the fish is, the less contamination it will have accumulated.

Sardines, in particular, are one of the most concentrated sources of omega-3 fats, with one serving containing more than 50 percent of your recommended daily value.  Other good options include anchovies, herring and wild-caught Alaskan salmon. You're probably aware that if you don't eat a lot of fish, you can supplement your diet with omega-3 fats by taking fish oil, but as mentioned you can also get your omega-3s from krill oil, and it may, in fact, be preferable to do so.

5 Easy Habits to Incorporate into your New Year

Easy Healthy Habits to Incorporate into the New Year

These are only 5 simple, great little Wellness tips that are highly beneficial, to incorporate into your New Year.  How about working on Wellness for this new year for a new you!

Making a big change, or any kind of change can be overwhelming and a little hard to handle.  The level of commitment required and the perseverance needed to stick to your resolutions are sometimes just not reasonable, no matter how good you thought they sounded at the time!  But here are a number of small changes you can make for this new year that have very little impact on your daily life, but that will show great rewards in your physical and mental health.

1.
1.. Drink Lemon Water Every Morning.
Mix the juice of half a lemon, or a full lemon (if you are over 150 lbs.), in a cup of room temperature water.  Or even in a cup of hot water in replacement of tea or coffee.  DO NOT drink ICE COLD WATER as it shocks your system and may stop of nutrients from being absorbed. Not only will the lemon jazz up that boring glass of water, but it also has other benefits …
it can also help keep you regular
       great treatment for constipation
preventative measure for avoiding urinary tract infections
       improves breath
       may aid in weight loss
and contains a large amount of vitamin C which is awesome for building collagen in skin and boosting immunity.

2,       Get more Vitamin D
This SHOULD really go without saying, but I’m always surprised how many don’t incorporate this
important vitamin into their daily diet.
It is recommended for its role in assisting with calcium absorption in our bodies
Additionally, many studies have concluded that vitamin D can help to prevent certain forms of cancer as well as other diseases like multiple sclerosis
Vitamin D is great for muscles, nerves, and the immune system
The best part is, Vitamin D is extremely affordable

3.        Be Aware when Eating
I have said this for years, especially if you are trying to diet.  Try to pay attention to not only what you eat, but how you eat it.  Take the time to chew your food as much as possible, as this will help with digestion and will reduce the chances of bloating and gas.  Also chewing your food a lot, makes you eat slower, so considering it take 20 min for your brain to register that your stomach is full… you’ve eaten less in that 20 minutes.  Also it slows your eating down so you don’t take in too much air with your food.

4.       Mind Your Gut
If you find that you have eaten too quickly, or that your gut didn’t appreciate all those chips or that bean dip you had for lunch, remember to compensate with probiotics.  These beneficial bacteria help to maintain smooth digestion and will reduce the feelings of indigestion and bloating.  Probiotics are also just excellent helpers and keep the level of friendly flora high, which in turn lessens the chances of Candida or any other bacterial infection taking up residence in your intestinal tract.

5.       Take Plenty of little Breathers

Like Walking.  Instead of sitting in your staff room during lunch, dedicate 10 minutes to getting outside for a quick walk.  The fresh air will invigorate your mind and will help you focus your concentration for the second half of the day.  The exercise will reboot your internal systems and keep your digestion and circulation running steadily.

Like Stretching.  People tend to carry their tension in their hips, jaws and shoulders.  Make an effort to take a few minutes each day to stretch out these muscles and release the tension that a long day can bring.  Creating a small stretching routine will keep muscles loose and improve flexibility.

Like Meditation.  Lying down to sleep at night with the events of the day on your mind can make it difficult to fall asleep.  Meditation is an excellent practice to slow the mind and prepare your body for rest.  It helps to release stress and anxiety and relaxes tension found in your muscles.  Before bed, try turning down the lights and turning off all televisions, computers and other electronic devices.  Sit in a comfortable position and focus on the natural inhale and exhale of your breath.  As you breathe, bring attention to each muscle group in your body and allow it to release.  As you progress through your body’s muscles you should feel increased relaxation and decreased anxiety and stress.  This will prepare your body and mind for a good night’s sleep.

5 Very simple little changes that won't stress you out .... and a great way to start off the new year and make a new habit!!!!
